All THRIVE events and activities are set up to align with the PERMA model of positive psychology and are designed to meet at least TWO of the model's five core elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotions; Engagement; Relationships; Meaning; and Accomplishment.

Here's how this activity meets the model:

ENGAGEMENT

Taking the time to learn and develop a new skill, allows you to assess your current skills and how you can improve. Sitting down, engaging in activities, being willing to learn, and asking questions, can help you focus and really dive into what you're learning. The workshop and the knowledge you gain with it is practical and will stick with you beyond the day.

ACCOMPLISHMENT

Learning to move past the need for motivation, for perfection, for the "right time" will lead you to accomplishment more! Being able to face imposter syndrome head on, will make even the scariest of decisions or most complicated of projects feel so much more achievable. We want you to come away with a plan to achieve more, build confidence and reframe how you think about your challenges.
